Volunteering Opportunities

Making the decision to volunteer your time and talents can enhance the educational experience of the students of the Upper Dauphin Area School District (UDASD). If you have an interest in the District’s educational programs, an enjoyment in helping students, and a sincere belief that by volunteering, a contribution will be made to the learning process, you have what is takes to be a volunteer!

UDASD allows approved members of the community (including parents and non-parents) to volunteer as part of school programs and field trips. Persons interested in becoming volunteers should contact the Building Principal about the needs and opportunities for each school. Once a volunteer role is identified, volunteers must complete clearances and be approved by the School Board.

UDASD allows approved members of the community to become volunteer coaches and to volunteer as part of other extracurricular activities. Please be advised that volunteer coaches serve at the discretion of the person responsible for the extracurricular activity (i.e. head coach, band director, etc.). Please reach out to the person in charge of the activity in order to volunteer.  If the person in charge of the activity recommends your approval as a volunteer, that person will arrange for your approval by the School Board. In order for approval to occur, you will need to obtain volunteer clearances prior to School Board approval.
