STUDENT REGISTRATION

A student moving into the Upper Dauphin Area School District must be registered before attending any of the schools within the UDASD. You must have an appointment to register your child.  Please contact the District Registrar, Lauren Stoner at (717) 362-6556 or stonerl@udasd.org to make an appointment.

A non-district resident family can choose to enroll their student in the Upper Dauphin Area School District by paying tuition. Please refer to Board Policy 202 for more information.

Registration for the 2023-2024 school year is open!

To register your child (or children), you must complete the online registration form.

  • It is highly recommended that you complete this process BEFORE you arrive for your appointment. Spanish forms are available upon request. Email stonerl@udasd.org to request a copy.
  • If you have Internet access, you can complete the online registration form before you arrive for your appointment.
    • To complete the form, you must first have a registration account on our online registration pageThis is a separate account from the Sapphire Community Portal account.  You must create a registration account, verify the account (a link is emailed to you after you create the account) and then log in to complete the registration process.
    • If you already have an online registration account, you may log in and click on the 2023-2024 UDASD Transfer Student Registration option to create a registration for a new student.
  • If you do not have a computer or have access to a computer, you will be able to complete the process prior to your appointment.  This will add approximately 30 minutes to the registration process.  Please let the District Registrar know if you need to complete the registration form at your appointment.

The following must be brought to the registration appointment:

  • Child’s birth certificate or proof of age
  • Child’s immunization records (immunization requirements may be found under the Required Immunizations tabs on this page)
  • Custody papers (if it applies to your child)
  • Special Education papers (if it applies to your child)
  • Proof of residency in UDASD

Proof of residence in the Upper Dauphin Area School District is defined as:

  • A Pennsylvania Driver’s License, Pennsylvania Photo Identification Card or Passport.
  • One (1) of the following:
    • Homeowner: Deed for a residential property within the Upper Dauphin Area School District, settlement document or sales agreement, or
    • Renter: A lease or notarized affidavit from the homeowner showing occupancy of a residence within the Upper Dauphin Area School District.
  • If you do not have any of the documents listed above, then you must present two (2) of the following:
    • Proof of property tax return indicating the address within the Upper Dauphin Area School District.
    • Current check stub for wages, public assistance, social security or other source of income indicating the address within the Upper Dauphin Area School District.
    • Payment or proof of liability for payment for municipal or school district taxes for an improved property within the Upper Dauphin Area School District.
    • Current utility bill indicating payment for a utility due to occupancy of a residence within the Upper Dauphin Area School District.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024 school year is now open! A child presented for enrollment in kindergarten must be five (5) years of age before September 1, 2023. Please read the Kindergarten Registration Letter before registering (Spanish Kindergarten Registration Letter). You must have an appointment to register your child.  Please contact the Elementary School Office at (717) 362-6619 to make an appointment.

To register your child for Kindergarten, you must complete an online form.

  • If you do not have a computer or have access to a computer, you will be able to complete the online form at your registration appointment.  This will add approximately 30 minutes to the registration process.  Please plan to come early if you do not complete the online registration form prior to the day of your appointment.

The following must be brought to the registration appointment:

  • Your child
  • Child’s birth certificate or proof of age
  • Immunization records (requirements listed below)
  • A copy of your child’s most recent physical examination
  • Proof of residency within the UDA school district (requirements listed below)
  • Custody papers (if it applies to your child)
  • Early Intervention documents (if it applies to your child)

  • A Pennsylvania Driver’s License, Pennsylvania Photo Identification Card or Passport.

You must also bring your child’s immunization records with you to the registration appointment.  All children registered in kindergarten must have completed the following immunizations before entry:

  • Three doses of hepatitis B vaccine
  • Four doses of polio with 4th dose administered on or after one’s 4th birthday
  • A second dose of measles vaccine, preferably given as Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • A fourth dose of tetanus and diphtheria vaccine, including one dose administered on or after one’s 4th birthday
  • Two doses of Varicella (chickenpox vaccine)

PRE-K COUNTS REGISTRATION

Pre-K Counts Registration for 2023-2024 is open. If you would like to apply for Pre-K Counts, please see the Pre-K Counts Paperwork. If you have been notified that your student was accepted into the program, use the links below to use the online registration form. Do not complete the online registration if your student has not been accepted into the program.

After you have been accepted to the program, you must register your child for Pre-K Counts by completing an online form.

  • You must complete this process after your student has been accepted to Pre-K Counts. Spanish forms are available upon request. Email stonerl@udasd.org to request a copy.
    • To complete the form, you must first have a registration account on our online registration form.
    • If you already have an online registration account, you may log in and click on 2023-2024 UDASD PreK Counts Registration to create a registration for a new student.
    • If you do not have an online registration account, you must create an account, verify the account (a link is emailed to you after you create the account) and then log in to complete the registration process.
  • If you do not have a computer or have access to a computer, you will be able to complete the online form at the UDASD District Office.

The following must be brought to the District Office to complete the registration:

  • Child’s birth certificate or proof of age,
  • Immunization records (requirements listed below)
  • Proof of residency within the UDA school district (requirements listed below)
  • Custody papers (if it applies to your child)

    • Polio,
    • Measles vaccine, preferably given as Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR),
    • Varicella (chickenpox vaccine)
