The Business Manager is accountable for the administration, oversight and planning for various core knowledge areas identified for the position. The person in this position uses management, organizational, planning, communication, technical and conflict management skills to ensure that the assigned core knowledge areas are carried out effectively to meet the goals and objectives set forth annually by the School Board and Superintendent of Schools.
- Administering the development and execution of contracts and agreements with external parties.
- Performing all facets of financial management including budget preparation and monitoring, revenue accounting, tax accounting and audits.
- Overseeing accounts payable and check processing.
- Administering and overseeing accounts receivable and district revenue.
- Administering payroll processing and retirement processing.
- Administering employee fringe benefits.
- Overseeing the tax collection process.
- Administering the food services contract and function including free and reduced lunches.
- Managing the technology infrastructure and support contract and function.
- Overseeing transportation contracts and services.
- Evaluating staff and implementing corrective action where needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.

A valid PA driver’s license
Certification:

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with contract management, financial planning, technology infrastructure and transportation services.
Work Year:
Full-time, 245 Days based on District Schedule
Work Schedule:
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or as determined by the Superintendent of Schools.
Emergency Management:
Position may involve emergency response activities that extend beyond the normal work day.
Designated member of Joint School Safety Taskforce which may include working outside normal assignments to assist member school districts.
Position will carry or be in proximity to emergency radio communications during working hours.
Job Rate:
Hiring: Salary commensurate with experience.
Ongoing: As decided annually by the School Board.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit at desk for extended periods.
- Repetitive movements of hands and fingers necessary for computer and calculator work.
- Some lifting (50 lbs.) and some carrying (25 lbs.).
- Some bending, stooping, climbing, reaching and turning/twisting.
- Writing and computer entry.
Work Environment:
Office setting as well as all buildings and grounds areas.
Equipment to Operate:
Computer, mobile devices, telephone, scanner, television and audio/visual equipment, sound system and radios.
