Annual Budget

The Upper Dauphin Area School District (UDASD) adopts an annual budget and that budget is used to manage the financial resources of the District from both a revenue and expenditure perspective.  The budget is created by the Administration Team, in consultation with staff members, and presented to the Board of School Directors for approval.

Request for Proposals and Bids

Mountain Environmental will hold a mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk through for the upcoming asbestos abatement project, commonly known as “Upper Dauphin ASD High School Asbestos Abatement”, at the Upper Dauphin Area School District High School School’s Main Office located at 220 North Church Street Elizabethville, PA 17023 on Monday, December 30, 2024, 10:00 am EST.

All sealed proposals shall be received prior to 1:00PM, prevailing time, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Upper Dauphin Area School District Administration Office, 5668 State Route 209 Lykens, PA 17048 at which time and place, all proposals received will be opened.

All sealed proposals shall be submitted to the “Owner”, Ken Wert, Buildings and Grounds Supervisor, one (1) original and two (2) copies in sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside with the name of the Bidder and Sealed Bid for “Upper Dauphin ASD High School Asbestos Abatement”. Proposal shall be mailed via USPS, shipped via Fed Ex or UPS, or delivered to “Owner” and received not later than the date & time stated above. Oral, telephonic (facsimile, e-mail, or telex), or telegraphic bids are invalid and will not receive consideration.

The specification manual including bidding documents will only be made available at the pre-bid conference for a non-refundable fee of $75.00 made payable to Mountain Environmental.

The two-month abatement project will consist of removal of asbestos containing floor tile and associated mastic via grinding.  Prevailing wage rates, are mandatory for this project.

Mountain Environmental will be responsible for submitting abatement notification, project oversite, daily air monitoring via PCM, visual and TEM clearances.

The Upper Dauphin Area School District has the right to accept or refuse any and all bids or portions of bids submitted for this project.

Tax Information

The Upper Dauphin Area School District receives tax revenue from real estate taxes, occupation taxes, per capita taxes and earned income taxes.

Right to Know

Beginning January 1, 2009, Pennsylvania’s new Right to Know Law went into effect. The new law established that all records kept by government are presumed to be open to the public, with some exceptions. The Upper Dauphin Area School District, operating in full compliance with the law, has established procedures for requesting access to public records.

The Upper Dauphin Area School District Policy 801 – Public Records specifies the process for open records requests and specifies the duties of the open records officer.
