Maintenance Technician
Overview
Under the supervision of the District Building and Grounds Supervisor, this position is responsible for assigned tasks within the core knowledge areas identified for the position. The person in this position uses maintenance and technical skills to carry out the assigned tasks to meet the goals and objectives set forth annually by the District Building and Grounds Supervisor, Superintendent, and School Board.

This position includes inside and outside work on a year-round basis.
Schedule:
Full-Time, 260 Days based on District Schedule
8 Hours. Hours determined by the District Building and Grounds Supervisor to meet the coverage needs of the campus.
Required Education Level:
High School Diploma
(Preferred) Technical Degree
Primary Responsibilities
- Generally maintains the assigned campus building and grounds areas.
- Preventative maintenance
- General construction and carpentry, painting
- General electrical and plumbing installation and repair
- Athletic equipment and field management, snow removal
- General Mechanical and HVAC
- Assumes any other related duties as assigned by the District Administration Team and District Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds.
Qualifications
License:
A valid PA driver’s license

Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods.
- Repetitive movements of hands and fingers necessary for computer and calculator work.
- Some lifting (75 lbs.) and some carrying (75 lbs.).
- Some bending, climbing, reaching and turning/twisting.
- Computer entry.
Emergency Management:
Position may involve emergency response activities that extend beyond the normal work day.
Equipment to Operate:
- Computer, mobile devices, telephone, scanner, television and audio/visual equipment, sound system and radios.
- Must be able to operate equipment used for building and grounds activities including, but not limited to, tractors, mowers, and snow removal devices.
Preferred Qualifications:
HVAC, general maintenance, and mechanical skills
