EXTRACURRICULAR CODE OF CONDUCT

To practice and compete in athletics at Upper Dauphin Area, a student-athlete must meet certain eligibility requirements and remain eligible throughout the sports season. Failure to meet initial eligibility requirements or to meet daily/weekly eligibility requirements, may result in suspension from practices and/or contests. Complete details about the academic eligibility requirements may be found in the Student Code of Conduct for Extracurricular Athletics.

Student-athletes at Upper Dauphin Area are expected to conduct themselves in a positive manner both on and off the field, court and mat. Student-athletes are held to a higher standard than others within the school. They are expected to live drug, alcohol and tobacco free lives, display good sportsmanship, treat younger players with respect and dignity and be role models for our youth athletes. Student-athletes are not expected to do anything that is detrimental to their own image or the image of their athletic team, athletic program or school as a whole. The Student Code of Conduct for Extracurricular Activities has been created to provide students and parents with detailed information about the expectations for participants inside and outside of school.

No student may use any of the athletics facilities without the consent and proper supervision of an approved employee of the District.  Use of facilities without consent/proper supervision may result in disciplinary action.  Participants are also discouraged from storing valuables, wallets, money, etc. in the locker room facilities.
